Countdown to Christmas

2 weeks til Christmas! I can't believe how time flies. I have pretty much all my shopping done. Just need to complete the last 2 stockings and get a few small stocking stuffers. I leave for Virginia on the 21st. I am so excited to spend Christmas with my cute little nieces. Going to see the National Tree one night as well as Zoo Lights in DC. Looks like we're going to church on Christmas Eve. Hope I don't catch on fire. Oh and maybe I'll have a white Christmas!

Holiday Party

This year my Holiday work party was at the Chopstix in Tacoma (totally my idea...I'm awesome). We had really good food, drinks and fun entertainment. For some reason the piano players wouldn't play our requests. Do they not know any NKOTB songs? Puh-lease. They finally did play one request, Baby Got Back but only played part of the song. We ended up leaving a bit early but still had a great time. Thanks Danielle for coming with me! Here are some pics from the night.
Here's me and my parents. You can see where I get my squinty eyes. Thanks Dad. Well, at least his eyes aren't completely closed like most pics we have of him.

Danielle and I waiting for my mother to figure out the camera.

Entertaining ourselves.

We were told later that night by my boss that we look like sisters. Yeah...I don't think so. Oh wait, maybe its the BOOBS!

And finally a few from the party. Amanda, me, Laneysa, and Danielle. Nice cleave Amanda!

I love being crafty

Amanda and I made some really cute xmas stockings the other night. I plan on giving them to each member of my immediate family. So...Josh, Brandy if you're reading this right now close your eyes and forget what you've seen!

We were able to get three done on Monday night. Thankfully, Amanda was there to help me out. I'm so slow at sewing I probably would have only been able to get one done. Thanks Amanda! Three more to go. Are you sick of me yet?

Here's a few pictures

Twilight Movie and NKOTB Concert

Amanda and I went to see the long awaited Twilight on opening night. I could not believe how many young teenage girls were there (plus two thirty year olds)! It was a little annoying trying to watch the movie while the girls kept oohing and aahing every time Edward or Jacob came on screen. I liked the movie but it did not even compare to the books. The movie felt too condensed and the relationship of Bella and Edward didn't seem developed enough. There were a few cheesy parts and is it just me or does Jasper look exactly like Edward Scissorhands? He was cracking me up. Such bad acting. I think I need to see it again with out all the crowd distraction. That and I need to drool over Rob Pattinson some more! I love him.

Here's Edward Scissorhands..I mean Jasper.

The following night Amanda and I went to the NKOTB concert. It was AWESOME!

I was unable to go to their concert back in the old days. Mom said I was too young to be going to concerts in the 6Th grade. I agree now but back then I was pissed!

Well, I finally got to see the greatest boy band ever in concert. That's right, The New Kids on the Block. I loved it! I was really impressed. Oh and they are still hot! I love you Joey Joe! They were on stage for over 2 hours. Still did all their old dance moves and songs. Oh and played a few of their songs from their new album. BTW, the new album is really good. I bought it that night after I got home! It was a fabulous night and well worth the scratchy voice that came the next morning. Good times.

Damn Blogger!

Blogger can be a real bitch sometimes.

If you scroll down, you'll see I finally posted about my trip to Vegas. Earlier today I was just finishing up with it and the damn thing erased half my blog. WTF?! I just had to write the whole thing over again. Sorry its not as detailed as the first one but there was no way I was going to type that shiz all over again.

On another note, Twilight is Friday night and NKOTB is Saturday!

Ahh....looking forward to a fabulous weekend.

Viva Las Vegas

I made it home to the lovely rain after an awesome weekend in Vegas. The weather was beautiful but it sure was nice to breathe in the clean air of Washington again. The weekend flew by. Bobbi Jo and I flew in early afternoon on Thursday. We were staying at some condos a few miles from the strip so we hopped on the shuttle and headed towards the strip. Ate some lunch at Ceasers then hit the slots and did some walking around exploring.

Here we are at the Bellagio and at Ceasars Palace.

Friday we hit the strip again. Here are the girls getting ready for the ride in the shuttle to the strip. We ended up going to Madame Tussuad's and downtown Freemont Street Experience. We met a bunch of famous people. Elvis wanted a photo with us (lip curl included). Bobbi and I had drank champagne with Hef. And I finally had my Vegas wedding!!

Later we ended up downtown. We walked around all the old casinos. Played some slots and had a great dinner at the Golden Nugget. I love it there. So many wierdos to watch!

Saturday after spending a few hours at the pool (we really lucked out on the weather mid 70s!) we bid farewell to Bobbi Jo. We missed you Bobbi! Sarah, Jen and I took the shuttle to the strip and saw all the sights. The girls treated me out for a birthday dinner and drinks (the Lemon Drops were delish!) at the Cheesecake Factory. We walked and walked. Gambled. Walked some more. Ended up at the Paris Hotel so we checked out the top of the Eiffel Tower. Great view at night.

It was a fabulous trip. Thanks again girls for celebrating my 30th!
