I Can Bake...Part 2
I've been wanting to learn how to make my Grandma Marie's homemade fudge for a long time now. Growing up it was a must on Christmas Eve get togethers and I always asked her to make it for my birthday. This year, I spent some time with Grandma learning how to make her special fudge recipe. We had such a fun time and the fudge is delicious!
Here's some photos I took along the way:
Isn't my Grammy Cute?! She 90!

I Can Bake...
And I have proof!

I really should bake more often. I do enjoy it and I'm quite good at it if you ask me :) I guess I'm a bit spoiled with cupcakes from my friend Amanda. She brings in homemade cupcakes every few weeks (if not sooner) to work so I definitely get my fill of baked goods.
I've been meaning to post about Thanksgiving and my pie baking but that hasn't happened. I think it's a little late since it now almost Christmas. I will post some pics of my baking experience though!
Here's the pie crust I made by scratch. It turned out perfect.

And the finished product. So Yummy!

Here's a few self portraits with my Ma. We're both excited to eat pie.

And here's my Dad. He's in shock that I just busted out two pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving.

Don't Mess with Me!
I went to dinner with my cousin Ericka tonight. Had a fabulous time as always until I got to my car... I walked up and saw that a car had parked illegally next to me. The car was so close to mine that I had to crawl in from the passengers side. So ANNOYING!!
Then I remembered I had this lovely little card...

I slapped it right on their windshield and was on my way!

New Moon tomorrow night!
Halloween 2009
I love making my costume for Halloween each year. No lame store boughts for me! This year my friend Amanda and I decided to be Lady GaGa at the MTV VMAs. In case you missed the VMAs, GaGa had many costume changes through out the night.
So here is a picture of Lady Gaga at the VMAs:

And here is me as Lady Gaga (I feel a little bit like Disco Duck!):

One more of the both of us:

We won Most Creative in the Halloween contest at work. Yes, we wore these outfits all day long at work. Scored a 25 buck gift card to the local Thriftway. Woot Woot!

Listening to Lady GaGa
I have the cutest nieces on the planet. I took this video last June of the girls dancing to Poker Face by Lady GaGa. Ryan knew a lot of the words and sang along. I love how Kate dances around in circles with her hand on her hip.
January can not get here fast enough... I miss my girls!

MIA
I've been MIA for a while...but I'm back now! I've been reading the Pioneer Woman's blog lately. She's inspired me to get back on the blog bandwagon. I heart her! Well, let's see...a lot has happened since my last post. I got hooked on facebook so that's been taking most of my blogging time up. I'm getting a little bored with facebook so I figure I'll start back with blogging.
Since my last post I've taken a few trips. My friend Heather got married in March. Traveled down to San Antonio for the wedding. Actually, It was about 45 mins outside of San Antonio (halfway in between San Antonio and Austin) at the Hideout on the Horseshoe, New Braunfels, TX. It was gorgeous! Such a fun filled weekend and am hoping go back again some day. Here are a few pics from the wedding:
After the wedding, I was able to spend a few days in San Antonio seeing some sights. The little town of Gruene, (the Gristmill and the oldest dance hall in Texas) The Alamo and the San Antonio Riverwalk were highlights!
In June, I took off for a week to see my girls (Josh and Bran too)in Alexandria, VA. It was hot and humid. Spent a lot of time at the pool playing in the water, watched Ryan's ballet recital, and did a little sight seeing.
I taught Ryan and Kate how to pose like Lady GaGa while I was there. Here's a few shots of many...

How cute is Ryan in her ballerina costume?!

My last trip of the summer was to my home away from home...VEGAS! I went with my Mama this time. We had a great time relaxing by the pool, playing the slots, and seeing some shows. We saw Jon Lovitz one night and Beatles Love the next night. I loved the Beatles show! It was amazing. I can't believe I've waited so long to see a Cirque De Soleil show. It was the fastest 2 hours ever. Well, that's it for now. Since I'm on the blog bandwagon again, I'll be posting again soon!
